Philippine School Holidays According to the Government
The Department of Education (DepEd) is responsible for governing all of the schools in the Philippines. This includes creating the school calendar which they usually release the year prior to the school year.
In the school calendar, they already list out all of the school holidays for the whole school year. These are usually regular and special non-working holidays in which most businesses are on break as well. However, there are dates that differ every school year which is the Christmas break.
Lastly, there are some non-schooling days that may be announced during the school year due to natural disasters like typhoons which occur regularly in the country. During these times, DepEd would decide whether or not to suspend classes to allow students to recuperate.
